Heavenly Father,
We come before You on this Inauguration Day, seeking Your grace, wisdom, and peace for our nation, the United States of America. We thank You for the gift of democracy, for the opportunity to peacefully transition leadership, and for the freedoms that allow us to worship, speak, and live according to our conscience.
Lord, we lift up the outgoing President, Vice President, and their Cabinet. We thank You for their service, dedication, and the challenges they have faced during their time in office. Grant them peace, rest, and blessings as they move into the next chapter of their lives. Surround them with Your love and strength, and continue to guide them in their personal journeys.
We also pray for the incoming President, Vice President, and their Cabinet. May Your Holy Spirit grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage as they assume leadership over this great land. Help them to govern with justice, compassion, and integrity. May their hearts be attuned to Your will, and may they seek unity, healing, and common ground for the betterment of all people.
Father, in this moment of transition, we ask for Your hand of healing to be upon our nation. So many are divided, hurting, and in need of reconciliation. Bring peace to our hearts, Lord, and help us to love one another as You have loved us. Let us not be overcome by fear, anger, or division, but by the spirit of hope, grace, and unity that can only come from You.
May this new chapter be one of healing, renewal, and renewed trust in Your sovereignty. Help us, as a people, to remember that our hope is not in man, but in You alone. We pray that Your justice and mercy would reign in our land, that all people may experience freedom, dignity, and respect.
We ask for Your blessings upon this nation, upon our leaders, and upon all of us, Your people. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray.
