The president-elect has selected Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, to serve as his U.S. ambassador to Israel. The post requires Senate confirmation.
“Mike has been a great public servant, governor, and leader in faith for many years,” Trump said in a statement. “He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East!”
Huckabee served as Arkansas’ governor from 1996 to 2007 and unsuccessfully sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and 2016. After leaving office, he hosted a show on Fox News and a radio program.

Father Almighty, I’m asking for much support and many blessings upon this man and his family. As he will be the next ambassador to Your favourite nation and mine, Israel. I’m not exactly sure of what his job other than representing the United States and her people. Israel is a dangerous land at the moment. But with Your support, Your touch please protect Michael when he is in the area. Also protect him here in the U.S. . Protect his family as well. Always give safe traveling mercies. When he is conversing with the government of Israel, please let Israel find favour in what Michael has to say and his actions. If at all possibilities maybe meet with Michael when he is there. Just to be able to say,”Calvary Chapel of the Ojai Valley has your back.” Thank you Lord for picking the right man for the right job. All Glory to God in the Highest. Amen.
