Trump says he will nominate former congressman Sean Duffy as secretary of transportation. Duffy represented Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district from 2011 to 2019, serving on the House Financial Services committee, and before that he was district attorney of Ashland County, Wisconsin. After leaving Congress, he joined Fox News as a contributor and now co-hosts a show on Fox Business.
“He will prioritize Excellence, Competence, Competitiveness and Beauty when rebuilding America’s highways, tunnels, bridges and airports. He will ensure our ports and dams serve our Economy without compromising our National Security,” Trump said in a statement. He also noted that Duffy is married to Fox News’ Rachel Campos-Duffy and is the father of nine children.

Gracious Father,
We come before You today to lift up Sean Duffy, our new Secretary of Transportation. As he embarks on this critical role, we ask for Your divine wisdom to guide him through the investigations of the tragic crashes in Washington DC and Pennsylvania.
Grant him the strength to face the challenges ahead, and the insight to understand the complexities of these incidents. May he approach each situation with a steady heart and a clear mind, making decisions that prioritize safety and accountability.
Lord, we also pray for the families and loved ones affected by these accidents. Surround them with Your comfort and peace during these difficult times. Help Sean to lead with compassion and a commitment to preventing future tragedies.
May Your hand be upon him as he seeks to serve our nation effectively. We trust in Your guidance and support for him in this important work.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
