Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your constant love and grace. As we step into the New Year 2025, we lift up the leaders of our nation—our President, Congress, judges, governors, and all those who serve in positions of authority. We pray that Your wisdom would guide them in every decision, and that they would seek Your will above all else.
Lord, Your Word says in James 1:5:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
We ask You, Father, to pour out Your wisdom on our leaders, granting them understanding and discernment. May they govern with justice, righteousness, and humility. We pray that they would honor You in their actions and seek peace, unity, and the common good of all citizens.
In Proverbs 2:6, You remind us that:
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
We ask that every leader in this nation would turn to You for guidance, that their hearts and minds would be open to Your direction. Help them to lead with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people they serve.
Father, we also ask that You protect our country and its leaders from division, conflict, and corruption. May the spirit of cooperation and understanding replace bitterness and division. Let there be peace and harmony in our land. As 1 Timothy 2:1-2 urges us:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
We commit to praying regularly for our leaders, that they may serve You and this nation with honor and grace.
Lord, we ask that You raise up men and women of integrity and faith to serve in government at every level. May they hold fast to biblical truths and work tirelessly to ensure justice for all. We pray for our nation’s future, trusting that Your purposes will be fulfilled in Your perfect timing.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
